NI PCI 6071E driver for Labwindows CVI?

I have an NI PCI 6071E card in my computer and have previously been interfacing with it via LabView. I am now moving to LabWindows CVI and don't know how to add the instrument driver for the 6071E to the CVI project. Do I need to request a separate driver (ie one that is different from the driver being used for LabView), and if so, how do I go about doing it?

Hello

The functions to program the 6071E are part of the standard CVI libraries. Make sure that you have installed CVI support for the driver by running the driver installer and verifying this option is selected in the driver installer feature tree. This device is supported with both traditional DAQ and NI DAQmx. If you have CVI 7.0 or higher, it would be best to use NI DAQmx. You will find function panels for both the drivers under CVI library menu.

Hope this helps

Does the evaluation software (which I downloaded off the NI site) have the full CVI libraries? And in general, do the standarad CVI libraries have all the drivers for all NI devices?

The eval software for CVI 7.1 will not include any hardware drivers. The eval software does include all the CVI libraries that are provided with the CVI Full Development system.
You can download the individual drivers required from the drivers download page.
