Program works on Windows NT but not Windows 2000. Timeouts seen

I have a program which works fine on Windows NT. But on Windows 2000 it is very slow and I see lot of timeouts while using CVI library functions.
 
Is this a limitation?

Could you be a little more specific about what functions are timing out?
Are you using driver functions? If so, what version of the driver?
What version of CVI are you using?
Are these operating systems running on the same machine?
