ramp analysis library function not available with CVI 8?

After upgrading to Labwindows CVI 8 (from CVI 7), the Ramp function does not exist in the Analysis library. What happened to it? Is there an equivalant function somewhere that I can use?

Hi kmagas,

The Ramp function is part of the Advanced Analysis Library which is part of the LabWindows/CVI Full Development System package. My guess is that in CVI 7.1 you had the Full Development System and now in CVI 8 you just have the Base package.  Thus you don't have the Ramp function.  I would contact your local sales representative to see if you got the wrong package or what.

Is it posible (technicaly and by licence) to reuse the analysis library
of the 7.1 Full with the 8 Base?

Thanks

Hi Babak,

While this is theoretically possible and legally allowable, it is neither supported nor recommended.
