installing ni4882-2.9.1f0

I am trying to use the ni GPIB-USB-HS I have downloaded the driver from ni's web page ni4882-2.9.1f0.tar.gz to my /home/NI/ni4882-2.9.1f0 I then extract the files and form a SU commandline I enter ./INSTALL I answer the question and it tells me that it has installed corectly.

It should create /usr/local/natist/ni488.2/bin/gpibexplorer but it only creeats /usr/local/natist I am using ubuntu 12.04LTS on a 64bit machine with linux 3.11.0-19

Hello,

In readme file you can read that these distributions are supported

openSUSE 11.4
openSUSE 12.1
openSUSE 12.2
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

Scientific Linux 5
Scientific Linux 6.

And probably you instal it without problems on other rpm distribution from the same period like OpenSuse12.2, for example Mageia 2.
