I have Lookout v6.5, KepserverEx v5.5, and Win911/Pro Alarm Dial Out Software. The Lookout software is polling Modbus Serial RTU's via radios. The Lookout software is working. We want to connect to the Lookout software using KepserverEx and pull data out of the Citadel 5 ODBC database in the Lookout software, and then connect the Win911/Pro to the KepserverEX using OPC to dial out alarms.
We can connect the Win911/Pro to the Kepserver alright. When we try to connect the Kepserver via OPC to the Citadel 5 ODBC database we keep getting Bad Quality Data. We have configured the ODBC driver and can connect successfully when we test the ODBC driver configuration in the ODBC Data Source Administrator. Everything seems to be configured but can't read data from database.
Anybody have an idea what might be missing? Does this seem like a reasonable thing to do?

If i read that correctly, you are trying to connect to Citadel with OPC? That will not work, as the database is ODBC and requires SQL queries to get information.
Why not just connect Win911 directly to the Lookout OPC server? This is how our notification software and many more work.

We tried the ODBC driver and connect to that. I thought Lookout OPC Server could only be accessed by Lookout OPC Client and not any third party software?

Lookout has its own OPC server for the runtime that can access most data members.
