After further research, I’ve found four options you can try to resolve this issue. Which of these is the best option depends on how flexible your system can be and how much time you can put into integrating a solution:
1) Use another PLC such as the GE364, which we know works with your system, in place of the GE341.
2) See if there is another OPC server that you could use to communicate with the GE341, VersaMax, and Lookout. GE may have an OPC server that is better for talking to their PLC's.
3) Use the Lookout Object Developer's Toolkit to modify the VersaMax driver. You can read more about the Toolkit at http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nioc.vp?cid=12524〈=US
4) We could escalate this issue to the development team. To do this, you should contact your local sales representative by going to
