Dual Monitors for LOOKOUT

I have a single CPU running Windows 2000 and a dual video card with two 21" Monitors. The system is set up for a Water Treatment Plant. On one monitor, I want to view the water plant operations. On the second monitor I want to view the remote sites. The only thing that I have found is that I have to run Lookout twice. Basically its giving me a lot of problems with database issues. Does anyone know how to run Lookout once with two monitors? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Brian,

Open Lookout once, resize the main window by dragging it across from one monitor all the way to the next one, so that Lookout encompasses both the monitors, now you can place one panel in one monitor and the second one in another.

This is a slightly clumsy solution for running dual monitors, but one all of us dual monitor users will have to learn to live with after upgrading to Lookout version 6. Lookout 6 sadly will only run one instance per computer, just an FYI for those looking to upgrade.

What type of card do you have? Most multi-monitor cards have settings that allow you to maximize a program across a single monitor OR both monitors. We currently have an 8-Monitor setup running Lookout 5.1 and this is what we are currently doing. I have a single process that I open up and each panel within that process I designed to reside at a specific position and size that correlates to each individual monitor. This allows me to open Lookout maximized across all 8 windows and have each window with it's own part of the process. Check your video card documentation and settings, you will likely find a way to maximize across both windows. Good Luck!
