It is solaris 8. It is on an Ultra-5_10 system.

Something to note, you must have superuser priveleges to run ibconf.

Check out this document about installing a PCI-GPIB on a Solaris machine. There is a section in it on page 9 about configuring the software with ibconf.

If you still have problems after reading through this repost.

I am the super user and I did the install of the software which we had on one of our servers.
Everything is normal now. I wanted to get the software on a CDROM. Is it possible for you to send me one. I appreciate it very much.

I can't send you any software but you can find drivers and updates here and burn them to a CD.

I can't download since it is not free for the customers. Boeing being the big customer of National Instrument, why we have to pay for our latest drivers. We are going to talk to higher ups and see if this is the case.

You shouldn't have to pay for certain updates. I would talk to your NI representative to find out more. Also, you could call NI for support: 1-866-275-6964.
