Hello Whit,

What do you mean by "coming out the other end?" Maybe you can explain your setup in detail. Specifically, what are you planning to connect to with the Freewave radios? Do these radios have a communication protocol?

Lookout has a Modbus driver object which has both the serial and Ethernet (TCP) options.

Sorry for not being of much help.

Regards,

Khalid

Can it run in UDP also?

The problem is with the protocol of Modbus. If you check the modbus.org site I believe it uses 52 as the port under IP to communicate. We have found the same problem using MDS radios to communicate with ControlMicro serial port RTU's. We only had limited success using IP to serial communications and ended up with serial to serial across the IP network.

Hope this helped.

Yes, we run UDP Multi-point to point.
