Lookout and Vwmare

Having purchased Lookout we were thinking about using it on a VMware setup.. which will gaurantee no down times. Just wondering if this would be a good solution for reduncy or if we should just stick with a physical machine. any thoughts or ideas on this would be appreciated.

Lookout works very well on VMware, but I'm not sure if it's better than a physical machine. Why do you think it will gaurantee no down times?

Well we have setup our vmware setup with 4 Dell poweredge blade servers hooked up to a NAS with a couple of virtual os's running on each so when one box dies it rolls all running Virtual Os's to the next server and so on. Yes it may have a performance issue but overall the system stays up. But after thinking about it I agree that it isn't the ideal solution because I think we are wanting to be able to use lookout in conjunction with some other software to make phone calls to oncall technicians not just text messages. And with a Vmware setup they dont have a modem we would have to use some other way to setup a phonecall system.
