Modbus ethernet IP conflict

I'm trying to set up a Modbus Ethernet driver in Lookout 5.1 but it is conflicting with and terminating my connection with an Allen Bradley SLC500 Ethernet driver.  The computer has two network cards with different IP's (one hardwired network for the SLC500 plc and one wireless for the company).  I've configured the IP of the Modbus driver for the wireless network but it's almost as if it defaults to the LAN.

Is there a way to communicate on two seperate networks from Lookout like I'm trying to do or will I end up having to place everything on one network if I continue using the Ethernet drivers?

A little more info would be helpful.  Could you post the result of running 'ipconfig /all' from a command prompt?

Sure, not a problem.

Looks like some stuff is missing.  What are the IP adresses for the SLC500 and the Modbus device?

The IP addresses are posted.  I've edited the subnet, gateway, and DNS server information.

Asside from that, the SLC500 and Modbus drivers only have the IP address as a configurable setting which makes me question whether or not you can use two seperate ethernet networks...

Ok, so here's where I'm at on this.  In Lookout 5.1, when I add the Modbus ethernet driver my SLC500 driver defaults to serial port connection.  I'm using a 5/05 processor but I guess the latest one out at the time was the 5/04 because that is the last option I can select.

I set up the same drivers on a Lookout 6.1 system and everything works as expected with the SLC finding the LAN and the Modbus object finding my simulator software over wireless connection.

In lieu of upgrading my 5.1 versions, is there an update or patch to fix my problem?

Is the machine multi-homed?  With GE-Fanuc 90-30 I had to disable the non-plc network adapter one time for lookout to find the plc.

Ed, thanks for the reply.  To answer your question, no our machines aren't multi-homed.

I'm kind of at a loss right now.  I set up tests on two similar machines running Lookout 5.1 and almost everything worked out (had the message "no response from socket" a few times for the modbus driver but no transmission loss with the plc).  So I went and loaded the program again on the original machine and it started working.  The difference being that I loaded the program with the modbus driver already installed instead of adding this driver while online with the plc.  Would this be the cause of my problem or should I keep searching?

Thanks
