Sending DDE Execute Command using Lookout

Is there a way to send DDE execute commands using Lookout 3.8? I would
like to be able to create a push button which would send an execute
string.

The only solution I have is to launch a Visual Basic app which performs
the DDE execute, then quits.

Need a little more information, what is the process that you are sending it to? Is it over a network or local? Are you sending it to a DDE linked Lookout process?
