lookout and NI 485

We would like to update old serial NI-485 ISA card with another PCI card.

Questions:

1- As I've understood, Lookout NEEDS NI-485 to work properly, and not another brand of card. Is it correct?

2- If point #1 is correct, then what model of National PCI card should we use to make Lookout work properly?

We didn't test any 3rd party PCI-485 card with Lookout. But actually I think it doesn't matter which card you use. Lookout just sends data and receives data through the COM port. It doesn't know and doesn't care if it is a built-in port or a PCI card. Lookout doesn't talks to the card directly. So, I suggest you to use NI PCI-485 card, but I don't think other 3rd party card will not work.
