lookout dongle

I need help with lookout registration. I have dongle for LPT port that should be authorization for lookout 4.5. Newly installed lookout can’t recognize authorization on dongle!

How to use this dongle after new lookout installation?

Is the dongle for LookoutDirect or Lookout?

Is your newly installed Lookout still the Lookout 4.5?

Newly installed lookout is v5.1 but I can also install v4.0 or v5.0. How can I check Is it Lookout direct? On CD cover it is stated „Full development system and run time“.

If you purchased the 4.5 from NI, it is Lookout.

Launch your Lookout 4.5, if it's Lookout, you should see National Instruments Lookout. Then, go to Help->About Lookout, you can see if it is Lookout 4.5 or LookoutDirect.

If your 4.5 is LookoutDirect, it's from Automation Direct. Their dongle cannot be used in NI Lookout 5.0.

I will also check if NI Lookout 4.5 dongle can be used in 5.0.

Thank you for your answers Rayan. I've checked version of lookout and it is not LookoutDirect. Can you tell me is it possible to use dongle with version 5.1?

And is a license for Lookout 4.5 runtime valid for version 5.1 or I need to buy new license?

I have never tried this, but I think you can not use it in lookout 5. If you have 4.5 and want to use a higher version, you need to purchase an upgrade.

I suggest you to upgrade to the latest version, 6.1.
