microsoft sql server error 25003

I have noticed a problem with lookout - the software stops collecting/updating data and there are nop alarm messages from lookout. I noticed that there was a microsoft sql error 25003. Does lookout use microsoft sql? Has anyone seen this error before?

Thanks,

Gene

Yes, Lookout does use Microsoft sql.
I have never seen this error before, so I go to microsoft website to find something. There are some kbs that talks about this error 25003, but I'm not sure if they are what you need.

One thing I want you to confirm, does lookout stop the communication with PLC? If it only stops logging data, I think it can be the sql issue. But if it can't communicate with PLC, it may be the opc issue, not related to the database.

Ryan,

The Lookout Project stops communicating with the Fieldpoint Unit. I can start the measurement and automation software and it will communicate with the fieldpoint unit.

Thanks,

What's your Lookout's version? Which object do you use, OPCFieldpoint or Fieldpoint?
OPCFieldpoint sometimes loses the communication with fp in Lookout 6.0.2. There is a fix on NI website.

Ryan,

I think that I am using OPC Fieldpoint on this project. Can you point me to the fix on your web site?

Thanks,

Gene

Apply the Lookout6.0.2 updates, the 1.4Mb patch.

Before you copy the cbx files to lookout folder, backup the original files.
