Thanks Johann. I believe I found the problem. I kept trying to use a "one shot" configuration instead of using "continuous". I am using a Sony DFW-X700 now, but I will be using the proscillica EC-750 and EC-750C. Hopefully there won't be much different from switching to a different camera.
