IMAQ USB Grab Setup error

hello;

I have some problems with my usb webcam on labview 8.5. It doesn't work. I have read the error message, which is sent in the word document as attachment. I tried somethings but same error message came again in Labview. For example, I run regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\ImaqDirectShowExport.dll
but I couldn't run regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\ImaqDirectShowDll.dll.

I will send my error message in a word document and my Labview file. If you have an idea, please write me...

thanks a lot....

I've been looking at adding a Twain scanner via USB.     Previous NI posts going back to 1999 requesting a Twain driver, NI tells refers people to 3rd party drivers which costs about $500US.  I contacted the mfg and they allowed my to download their SDK for free, so now I have direct access to their dll's.  You might try that with your hardware.  For me, NI on this issue is absolutely unprofessional.  I've used Labview off and on since version 4.  I'm so pissed that I'm junking Labview for my project and going to use Matlab and C/C++.  Trying to access a Twain/USB device through WIndows and getting any functionality is a hard path. You can get the Twain documentation and get some very basic functionality  but not much else.

adanali,

You don't really need to run those dlls with regsvr32, that is just for executables. However, I did try your vi with my USB camera, and it worked just fine. You need to make sure that your camera is DirectShow compliant.

The easiest way to do this is eaither documentation from the camera, or you can see if you can receive images from the camera in Windows Movie Maker.
