IMAQ Vision 7.1 .NET Function Reference?

I am using Vision 7.1 and C# in Visual Studio .NET. I'm having a lot of trouble because the api doesn't seem to have any documentation at all...

For instance, using the Object browser and looking through other NI software packages (analysis enterprise, etc) there is plenty of javadoc style documentation. For the IMAQ1394 and Vision libraries, however, there is nothing. I have obtained the IMAQ Vision for LabWindows/CVI function reference but the libraries differ in ways that leave much to desired.

Is there any api/function reference for IMAQ Vision 7.1 in .NET (ie. the Vision ActiveX Controls or IMAQ IEEE-1394 Controls)?

Feel free to contact me if you have information.

NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 and IMAQ Vision 7.1 do not natively support .NET programming. The LabWindows/CVI and Visual Basic functions are the supported methods of programming your Vision applications in text-based languages.

The Visual Basic libraries can be imported into a .NET project, however. Instructions for doing so can be found in the "NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras User Manual". Information about these functions is found in the "NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 Cameras Function Reference Manual".

The IMAQ Vision for Visual Basic User Manual that comes with Vision 7.1 says:

IMAQ Vision for Visual Basic Reference—If you need information
about individual methods, properties, or objects, refer to this help file.
Access this file from within Visual Basic or from the Start menu by
selecting Programs»National Instruments»Vision»
Documentation.

There is, however, no such docuement anywhere on my computer and I havn't been able to find it on the NI site either. If this document actually does exist, can someone post it (and email it to me)?

This document is installed from the Vision 7.1 CD when support for Visual Basic is installed. If you can't find the file, VB support may not have been selected during the installation. When you insert the CD and run a "Custom" installation, you can select to install "NI-IMAQ 3.0 >> Microsoft Visual Basic Support >> Microsoft Visual Basic Documentation". This should place the document in the proper menu.

(You do not need to reinstall any previously installed IMAQ or Vision components.)
