IMAQ complex image to 8 bit image conversion

I just tried an IMAQ fast fourier transform on an image of mine, I viewed the result on a display windows, and it happens to be exactly what I need.
But I don't know how to turn the complex image into a 8 bit image file which would be what the display window is showing (I don't even know what it's showing, look's like frequential information) so that I could turn that image into an array...

Could anyone tell me what the IMAQ display control is showing when wired to a complex image ?
And how could I convert it to 8 bit image format ?

A Proper imaq buffer is all what u need and dont forget to select grayscale or 8 bit.

Use a type cast function.Buffer the image type u need in the reference type
