I am trying to installing a PCIe-1433 and I am not able to get (1) an image and (2) only camera 0 is available.
I have install NI Vision Acquisition software on a CD dated September 2011 that includes NI-IMAQ 4.6.1, NI-IMAQdx 3.9.1 and NI-IMAQ1/0 2.5. I have two Imperx Bobcat 1610 cameras that I want to operate simultaneously. When I run the Bobcat configurator, it only finds one camera but operates as expected for that camera. To see if there is a problem with one of the cameras, I connected each to the 1433 one at a time. The Bobcat configurator found both cameras but only when they were connected to the 1433 port furthest from the trigger input.
When I open the NI-IMAQ Devices tab in Measurement and Automation Explorer, I get the following response
img0:NIPCIe-1433
Channel 0: Basler A504K
Which is consistent with the Bobcat configurator finding only one camera.
If I click on Basler A504K, I get a video window with tabs for SNAP GRAB etc.
If I click on the SNAP or GRAB tabs, I get the error message CANNOT DETECT RECOGNIZABLE VIDEO SOURCE.
The 1433 does not appear to be visibly damaged. I am not sure if I have installed the proper software or using MEASUREMENT and AUTOMATION EXPLOER CORRECTLY or have a hardware problem
Thanks

Ikeb,
Did you install the Camera File for that camera? Please go through the following tutorial and look at the Camera Link section:

ikeb,
The reason you are only able to use 1 camera at a time with that port is because the PCIe-1433 only supports 1 cameralink bus. Port 0 is used for base cameralink configuration and Port 1 is necessary for Medium, Full, or Extended Full configuration cameras. These camera configurations require both Ports as explained in the user manual on page 3-2. The camera is appearing as another type of camera because the camera file associated with it is not included with our vision acquisition software. However, you can use the NI Camera File Generator to generate the camera file needed for your cameralink device. This is explained in the links below. Hope this helps.
What Framegrabber Specifications Do I Need to Know When Using the NI Camera File Generator?

Thanks,
I found a camera file on your ftp site and I am now getting video from a single camera. I still need to have video from two cameras simultaneously. Will the 1430 for two base cameras and are there other options?
Thanks

ikeb,
You are correct in looking into the PCIe-1430 as it is our only frame grabber that supports two cameralink buses. However, be aware that both cameralink cameras must use the base configuration.
