Image analisys

Hi,

Is it possible to load a image (jpg, bmp, tif or any other format) with
labview and then do some vision analysis on that image. Has anyone some kind
of examples on this issue.? I'm using labview 6.1 FDS.

My goal is to use labview to get information about diameter, unroundness and
other geographical information from some piece of hardware.

Yes it is possible. Loading an image is just like taking one using a camera. It can be analyzed using the Vision toolkit, which is a separate toolkit you would need to purchase. It provides a large variety of image analysis tools.
