NI 1410 synchronization problem - VSYNC

Hi,

     We are building a custom confocal laser scanning system, which generates its own HSYNC, VSYNC, pixel clock and pixel value to construct an image. However although the VSYNC is perfectly synchronized with the vertical scan, what I see is two objects in my image as attached. Any idea why so and how to solve this?

What's more, it always generates the 0xBFF6022 error, sometimes I can run up to several seconds, but often it is happen in a second. Any hint how to avoid this from a custom generated video signal? Thank you!

I finally figured out the problem -- although I designed the Pixel clock/HSYNC/VSYNC to be 10MHz/10KHz/10Hz respectively, the actual signals measured are 9.993MHz/9.981KHz/9.95Hz. When I reset the width and height to 948 and 950, the dual image disappeared.

 

You are right that some jiggles on the image are from the wire being too long; when we shorten the wires they are corrected. Thank you!

Glad that it is sorted out now. Can you just let me know the length you were previously using?

I was using 1000 x 1000. Never thought this would be the problem. 🙂
