Problems using IMAQ snap with PCI-1405 and JAI CV-M50 Analog Camera

Hello Doug,

I'm glad to hear that you've made a little bit of progress troubleshooting the issue.  Do you have any updates on the additional tests you were going to perform?  As you mentioned, having multiple PCI cards running could limit the available bandwidth (however, the 1405 should only require a small percentage of the bandwidth).  If you haven't tried it already, I would definitely recommend trying the 1405 in a PCI-X slot by itself (without the DAQ card in the standard PCI slot).

Also, when the board gets in the "timeout" state that you described, does it pass the self-test diagnostics?

Let us know how the testing goes.  We all are more than happy to investigate any additional questions you might have.

Best Regards,

Since my last post, I have moved on to another PC.  It's a newer Intel Extreme mainboard with single 3.76GHz processor.  The system has 3 standard PCI slots of which I am using two (one for the IMAQ card and one for the DAQ card).  I have been running with this configuration for 2 days and have had NO problems -- I've even received a significant performance boost to my application 🙂  I'm not going to pursue testing of the hardware in the other PC (dual 2.6GHz Xeon).

I'd like to thank everyone for taking time to offer help..

Doug.
