Suitable software

Hi!

I'm starting my graduating work soon which includes camera & lens testing. Cameras varies from HighEnd firewire (maybe analog too) cameras to USB2.0 cameras for industrial purposes. At the moment we are looking for suitable software for my task and because I have some labview experience I'd like to know little about Vision.

So my questions are:

Can I measure lens distortion from well known test patterns like dotgrid or USAF1951? And how about depth of field (DOF) calculations?

I also like to know can I measure and draw modular transfer function (MTF)? It would be nice if I can store results in printable form (like excel).

Can I manage to do all those tasks by using VISION libraries and labview7.1 only?

U very well can and i suppose u are already doing it. Please concentrate on photonocs area as well.As the rule by experience goes a well lit image can solve 95% of your problem whatever maybe the application.
