The different of qualites of grayscale images.

Why is the quality of grayscale image (Intensity plane) converting from S-video color image 24 bit somewhat better than the grayscale image directly from Black&White camera eventhough they are the same 8 bit images. How can I convert the image from B/W camera to be the same quality of intensity plane image of S-Video 24 bit image? Please help me.

This has more to do with hardware than software. The quality of image from the B&W camera may not be as high as the S-video color image. A lot of this depends on your definition of quality as well. The S-Video image may not show as much noise because it is not as sharp, If you are looking to clean up some of the noise you might try appling a filter that averages pixels in order blur the image slightly.

Thanks Dustin for your suggestion. I've already tried to use many of filter VIs, but it was not as good as the intensity plane converted from color camara.
