Good day, I have NI vision installed and the IMAQ-USB installed. I am using a pinnacle USB-710 video to USB converter. I can bring up Meas and Auto Explorer and camera is listed. By setting the video to 352x240 YUY2 29.97 FPS I can grab video all day long in Max. Actual camera is a IR camera with 352x240 array.
Problem is can not grab video in Labview. I get the above error. Also if I try to configure in vision assistant, it says the camera settings are not valid and it is greyed out.
It seems to me if it works in MAX, I should be able to get it to work in Labview. Does anyone have any ideas I can try.
Thanks
John

Hi,
I think you have mixed two absolutely different things.
If you have your camera listed in MAX, it means you have installed latest VAS, and you should use IMAQdx instead of IMAQ USB.
IMAQ USB is not necessary any longer.

OS is Windows XP english, yes I have VAS2009 installed. I found another thread where it stated the USB was now supported. I could be wrong but I thought the camera did not show up untill I installed the IMAQ-USB. Also I cant find out now how to uninstall IMAQ-USB.

Its not necessary to uninstall IMAQ-USB.
Also, if camera properly supported by VAS2009, then you will see your camera in MAX.
For the programming point of view there are no any differences between GigE/Firewire/USB camera.
See IMAQdx examples shipped with VAS2009

OK good news. Works great with IMAQdx. Thanks for all the help!
