VI Path is invalid when selecting Run labVIEW VI from VB4AI

Using Vision Builder for Automated Inspection 2.6, when I select Run LabVIEW VI, and select a LabVIEW VI Path to use in the inspection sequence, I get the following error window:

   VI Path is Invalid

   There is no VI at the path you specified

   "OK"

I am using LabVIEW 8. Is there a problem with LabVIEW 8 and VB4AI 2.6, or is there some requirements about the VI prior to trying to load it in VB4AI.

Anybody with any knowledge would be gratefully appreciated.

Hello ADL,

The Run LabVIEW VI step in Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) 2.6 only works with VIs saved in LabVIEW 7.1.  Since you are using LabVIEW 8, you can open your VI and choose Save For Previous Version to save your VI as a LabVIEW 7.1 VI.  The Run LabVIEW VI step should now work with the LabVIEW 7.1 version of your VI.
