I'm not quite sure what you mean by sync at 1-5Hz. This camera outputs CCIR video at 25 Hz, and this is what we sync to when doing an image acquisition.
Are you trying to trigger the camera so you get 1-5 frames per second? If so, the 1409 supports asynchronous triggering that will give you this frame rate. This maybe what you need to do unless there is some mode about this camera that I'm not familiar with.
