how can I use Imaq usb to get a snap image, get template and do pattern matching?

I try to track the braiding point. At first snap and grab a image to build the template. And I will grab a image every 5 seconds and compare with the template in order to get the position offset to control motion.  Please find the attached VI. It always calls the ' IMAQ Vision: (hex 0xbff60453) incompatible image type. how can I do? THKS!

It is most likely because of the imaq create not being compatible. Can you post a screen shot of the vi as i have lv 8.0?

Thank you for your replying. I attached my code by PDF file. It pretty much likes the example "Pattern Matching example".

Sorry, the last code need a little change. Only a image display was covered by case structure.

Hi Guang,

I think you are using two different bit depths in your image processing.  You will need to convert one of them in order to do what you desire.

I recognized the problem. I didn't figure out how to convert them now. I'm new user for this. Would you please give me some clues?

THKS!
