how to test for solder joint presence ?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments. From your brief description it is a little hard to give you a detailed answer. It sounds like you are interested in doing an inspection application and looking at a PCB for the presense, or lack, of a solder connection. If this is the case, then I would recommend looking into using pattern matching to detect whether that joint is correct or not. There are a number of examples. 


If you still have questions or if this is not exactly what you would like to do, then please provide us with more information on your applicaiton, what software you will be using, and what hardware you have.

Thanks you vey much for your response, we already have the hardware for having a moving camera taking pictures at specific location but need to software to analyze the pictures and determine if solder joints are OK or not.

If you can take a picture, how about posting a picture and showing us what you are trying to detect?

We need to inspect the soldering bridge,dry solder, missing solder how to do in LabVIEW or vision assistant we have tried but repeatability issue we are facing only 40% accuracy we got? Please help us?
