hello,
i wanted to measure rpm also does it matter whether the proximity switch has 2 or 3 wires and should it have an analog or digital/frequency output for connecting to the scc-68 should it have an npn or pnp type connection would this inductive proximity switch be suitable
. the proximity switch only has a 10-30 v supply voltage so how can i safely power the proximity switch if it exceeds the plus/minus 10 volts that labview can handle what sort of device should i use to safely power the proximity switch and how would it be wired up in a circuit. the inductive proximity switch has to measure the speed (rpm) of a motor which would be rotating at 1500-3000rpm.

Unless you are using the old Excel add-on called Measure, you are posting to the wrong board.
