In case you don't know it, the Measure forum (where you posted) is for an NI program called Measure. It is an add-in to Excel and I don't think you are using it. It sounds like you might be doing some GPIB programming.

As far as the command, you should be able to look it up in the manual of the instrument. Since you don't mention the make and model of the instrument, how can anyone know what the command does? Are you running NI-Spy on a program that someone else wrote? Is this an executable with no source code?

Hi Dennis, i am actually trying to do a labview program for agilent 66319B. the command was taken from NI-Spy while running this instrument and the program "Agilent 14565A DCS". I had looked up the manual of this instrument but this command could not be found at all.

I hope these information is sufficient for anyone to get back to me regarding the meaning of this comman.

thanks

It's possible that the command is undocumented or that the program has a bug and it is sending a command meant for a different instrument. You can trying asking Agilent. It's their instrument and software. If you want help from someone that may use the instrument, you need to repost your question in the Instrument Control forum.
