I need to generate some FFT data with my PCI-4462 board.

Does anyone have a .NET sample?

Hello Philip,

I believe you'll find the examples you want here:  NI-DAQmx, NI-VISA and NI-488.2 .NET Example Locations

You can use any of the DAQmx analog input examples that use the triggering available on your PCI-4462.  You will need to use a math library to perform a FFT on the data you read in.

i did not know the DSP has been removed from the latest DSA boards

will do the FFT in software

Hello Philip,

We may have a terminology mismatch here, but as far as I know none of our DSA boards are able to perform an FFT on the hardware.  If you're using LabVIEW there are built in FFT functions, but the data returned from the DAQmx Read by our DSA cards is always time domain data.

If you have a model number from some of the older hardware I'd be happy to take a look and confirm this is the case, but I believe you'll find the PXI-4472 will behave in the same way.
