MSVS 2010 - unlicensed Exception

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello

I've installed trial version of NI LabView 2010. In my code when i'm creating NationalInstruments.NetworkVariable.Browser( calling new Browser() ) it throws exception "NationalInstruments.NetworkVariable is unlicensed". Is there any way how I can fix this?

Thank you!

Hi globus000,

Have you tried to refresh the license file? You can do this by going to the Measurement Studio tab and click on refresh NI licenses. Make sure you have the .licx file in your project. I would also recommend running the shipping example and see if you get the same error.

Hope this helps.

Hello

Let me check: in MS VS 2010 I have Measurement Studio in main menu. But I dont see any "refresh NI licenses" buttons or items there.

Also - how can I ganarate .licx file for my C# projects?

Hi globus000,

Please refer to the attachment for the location of refresh license file option. I just used a standard DAQmx shipping example. I think you will find the link below helpful. Please read the section after the first screen shot. It talks about license file management in Measurement Studio.
