Graphs show Evaluation Copy even with Valid License

I get the Evaluation Copy in the CWGraph components even with a valid license.

I am using:

* Visual Studio C++ 2010 SP1

* Measurement Studio 2010 SP1

* MStudioVS2010CppLegacyR2Professional.exe

* I've run the Active X installer

Do I need a new version of the CppLegacy installer?

Hi bbuternowsky,

There are a few of steps you can try to resolve this issue. Sometimes license registration does not quite apply with Measurement Studio, so we do have a tool you can use to try to fix this.

This article discusses steps to use the License fixer utility.

If that does not work, there is a more direct approach as it sounds like there are specific controls that are not working (instead of Measurement Studio as a whole). You can follow the steps outlined in this article to delete those particular controls and reinstall them.

That will involve messing with the .ocx file and changing registrations using regsvr32.exe. It is rather straight forward and boils down to uninstalling Measurement Studio, changing the specific controls and then reinstalling and activating.

Hopefully this will get you moving on the right path, definitely follow up if that is not the case however.

I reinstalled the legacy CPP R2 version, and it still didn't work. Then I tried the license fixer, and none of my licenses showed up as evaluation; so I couldn't use the utility. Then I saw in the help doc that moving the control, and resaving the resource file might fix it; then I went to one dialog and moved the graph control, rebuilt, and now the eval copy is gone for some of the dialogs, but not all. Then I went to each dialog that had the Eval copy msg, and moved the control, saved, rebuilt, and now the msg is gone.

I just had this very same issue after moving my development environment to a new machine. What fixed it for me was to uninstall all the NI stuff and then run the legacy installer before running the 2010 (2012 in my case) measurement studio installer. Your mileage may vary. I did try the license fixer and that didnt help at all.
