We are using the NI 4551 card, which is obsolete. This card interfaces with NI 6023 E. We would like to replace the 4551 with the latest NI card. Can you suggest the replacement for 4551 that works with 6023 ? Is it recommended to change the 6023 E also if we replace the other card ? Please advice.

Hi Prabhala,
In order to ensure you're getting a device with the specification you need, I would recommend picking one out from this page . On the left hand side of that page, you'll be able to look at the various devices based on what form factor you're working in (PCI, PXI, etc). How are you doing your programming for these devices? The only concern I would have regarding the compatibility of the 6023E with the DSA device you choose would be if you are using Traditional DAQ in your programming. There are DSA devices (like the 4461) that is only compatible with DAQmx, and others (the 4472) that are compatible with both DAQmx and Traditional DAQ. If this is going to be an issue, I would recommend checking out the Traditional DAQ ReadMe and making sure the device you are interested in will work for your program. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Anita.
Thanks for your inputs. After referring to the link you listed below, we were able to pick the NI PCI-4461 card to replace NI 4551. We have decided to replace the 6023 E series with the NI PCI-6220 M series. I think both these cards support the DAQmx driver.

You are correct, they're both supported by DAQmx. Happy Programming!
