How I find out the Board ID?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hey,

I try to install my encoder via a PCI 7342. When I use e.g. Read Encoder Position I need to know the Board ID. Where do I get it from? Is it normally 1? I read it must somewhere in MAX but how I can find it?

In MAX, it should show up under the Devices And Interfaces section.

Hey,

thanx. I think I found it, but I am not realy sure about. I try to change it and than it was writen that the actual Board ID is 2. But behind my PCI card there is a 1 in brackets. What is it know 1 or 2?

Can you attach a screen shot of what you are describing?

I found it out by trying. It is 1. No idea, why there is written a 2 when I want to change it, but the 1 in brackets is correct. At least I got data out of my encoder now.
