How can I verify my UMI-7764 and PCI-7344 are working?

Should I be able to see the UMI-7764 on the configuration tree? I am using a PCI-7344 connected (via the motion control connector) to the UMI. The UMI is powered by an external power supply.

During the installation of the 7344, the manual said to expand the configuration tree. For some reason, I am not able to expand it. (It's there, but nothing happens when I click the +) . As a result, I can't gain access to the default settings etc.

Eventually I would like to use this setup to drive a Zeta stepper motor drive.

I am using Labview v 6i, and windowa 2000.

The UMI will not show up in MAX. To solve the problem with seeing your board settings you need to regenerate the config.mxs file...
1) Close MAX
2) Go into your MAX folder (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX) and copy the config file to your desktop or some other directory to keep as a backup
3) Delete the config.mxs file from the MAX directory
4) Run the following command from run prompt
C:\Progra~1\Nation~1\MAX\mxsr.exe -uconfig.mxs
*the location my vary depending on where the mxsr.exe file is located on the system
5) Restart MAX
6) Refresh MAX (F5)

I tried this and after step 6) I am not seeing what I expected. Something related to the UMI-7764 board. Did I miss anything in the above mentioned procedure with the config.mxs file?
Where can I find a schematic diagram for the UMI-7764, so I can troubleshoot better?
thx
