Hello,
What type of interface will you be using with your drive? If you are not going to be using an NI motion controller, are you going to be using one of our data acquisition (DAQ) boards? If you are using one of our M-series devices, you can make use of our SoftMotion software to develop your own control algorithm for the motor. This software will make use of the counters to read the encoder pulses and the analog channels if you are controlling a servo motor or the digital I/O if you are using a stepper.
