MAX never show "Axis is currently moving "

Hello,
I´m trying to use the "Run/Stop Status" using flex_read_axis_status_rtn to determine if a particular axis is running.
So far I can´t get it working neither in my programm or testing using MAX/"Axis is currently moving" led.
I found this topic in forum "http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=240&message.id=1237&requireLogin=False", but it don´t explain why use velocity threshold or why the status is never set.
Can anyone provide an explanation?
Thanks!

Hi,

I donno why it does'nt appear but you can read velocity and check if the speed is less than equal to 2 rpm to find if the axis is moving. Although its not the best way to solve this problem, but may be I can help u if I get more info abt. your system

Hi Giridhar,

Thanks for your reply. Your suggestion is exactly what I’m doing now. It’s also the suggestion in the link. But I really don’t feel comfortable implementing my program using something I don’t understand the reason, especially when there is other approach that is intended to do what I want and it doesn’t seems to work properly...

Perhaps you could help me with my other post (http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=240&message.id=4183#M4183) since I didn’t receive any answer from NI support.

Thank you very much Giridhar.
