installing previous firmware version

I'm reinstalling FlexMotion on a computer after a hardware failure.  The version of FlexMotion I'm installing is an older one, 5.11, to maintain compatibility with an existing application.  However, the NI _CI-7344 board I'm using already has a newer firmware version installed (6.1.2), and NI's MAX software won't let me change the firmware back to the older 5.11 version.  (The upgrade firmware button is grayed-out.)

How can I download the earlier firmware version onto the 7344 board.  As I recall, there were some significant compatiblity issues with respect to homing between versions 5 and 6 of FlexMotion, and homing is what I'm having trouble with using the newer firmware.

dabguy,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments.  The newer versions of the firmware should not have any negative effects on the performance of the board on older driver versions, the firmware is backwards compatible.  It is possible to update the firmware to an older version if you think that will work the best.  Here is a link to a KB on ni.com that describes how to do this.

Can I Downgrade the Firmware on My FlexMotion Controller?

Let me know if you have anymore questions.
