is anybody here has used IBL2403-CAN module from technosoft before?

Hey, is anybody here has used IBL2403-CAN module from technosoft before?I want to have three step motors and one DC motor in control . this is supposed to be achieved by using four motor drivers in a CAN bus. The driver module is IBL2403-CAN and I have no other choices.I have no idea about how it is and what to do. Do i have to buy the interface card?in another way, the motor driver can be executed via the TML commands. may I import these inside labview as using other languages(c/c++)?

hope to hear from ppl have experiences

Cheers!

We have just started a new project with an IDM640 from Technosoft. Unfortunately it is a little bit to early to share a big experience. However, some ideas :

  • What do you mean by  "Do i have to buy the interface card?" ? Wich interface do you mean ? On the PC side you will need a CAN interface from NI to communicate with the drivers.
  • Technosoft sells a TML library for LabVIEW. Even though it is not the cleanest code I have ever seen, it should at least work and will be the easiest and fastest way to communicate with the drivers by LabVIEW.

Glad to hear ur reply. the Interface card I said is the one u shown, either from NI or from other manufactories. But I don't have it,neither our project. However, I think it should be possible to use TML and command on the drivers which connected as Canbus. I agree with u that import TML in Labview seems the easiest way, but Im not clear with it.
