10800 error generating continuous analog output with 6715

Good day.

Trying to generate any continuous analog output with my 6715 DAQ
gives a timeout error (10800). I have tried the basic examples from
LabView 7.0 (such as continuous sine generation). I also tried
the C examples that come with NI-DAQ (7.2). Same story.

The problem seem to exist only with "number of iterations" (AO_Control)
set to zero (iterate forever). If I request a finite number of cycles,
the things work.

Platform: T42 IBM laptop, WinXP SP2, LabView 7.0, NI-DAQ 7.2

Got really stuck here... And the local NI office has a corporate vacation
for a week!!
