Are you receiving this error in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)? If you have not tried running the Test Panel from MAX, that would be my first suggestion. Did the device work previously? If you have another computer available, you may also want to consider testing the device in it. You can also run the
Online E Series Diagnostic Utility (link available below). This utility is able to diagnose many hardware issues.
