With the ER8/16 you can add an extenal power supply to drive bigger loads. Can this be done with any other DAQ brd,
particularly the 6025E?

No, this is not possible with the multifunction DAQ boards. If you need to drive bigger loads you would need to use a DIO board made for that purpose.
