Adding and deleting channels to Task for PCI-6225

I have a PCI-6225 board, at times I needed to sample 24 channels at a rate of 10kHz for each channel, other times I need to sample 80 channels at 1 Hz each.  The maxium rate the board can handle is 250 kS/s, at 10 kHz, I believe the maximum number of channels it could sample at that rate is 25.  So I need to change the task to sample 24 or 80 channels.

Is there an easier way to do this?  Or do I just need to create a new Task when I want to switch?

The best solution would be to use a PCI-6255 so that I could sample all 80 channels at 10kHz, but I don't have that option right now.

Robert,

I believe creating the two tasks will be the easiest way to perform this type of acquisition.  To simplify your programming, you could configure the two tasks in Measurement and Automation Explorer and then access the Tasks in LabVIEW using a Task Name constant.  In the end, I agree that getting a device that can sample all 80 channels at the higher rate would really be the ideal solution, but in the meantime the approach you are suggesting seems reasonable.  Let me know if you have any additional questions.
