Addr. of calibration register with PCI-6033E

Hi.

I'm trying to calibrate my PCI-6033E using Linux/Comedi.
According to the "PCI E Series RLPM", page 5-7, the EEPROM
addresses 430 and 431 should give the LSB and MSB values.

The readings are:
eeprom reference lsb=154 msb=204
resulting reference voltage: 4.98684

which does not seem to be correct. The code is reported to work
for the board PCI-6032E.

I'd like to know if the documentation is correct, and if not, where
can I get the corrent information.

It appears you are using the Comedi DAQ drivers to access your DAQ card from Linux. National Instruments does not support Comedi drivers. For support, please visit Comedi�s website.

You can use the following information as a guide for Comedi calibration:

You will use comedi_calibrate to calibrate your card.
Type comedi_calibrate -f /dev/comedi0 to calibrate the board configured as /dev/comedi0.

Note: Not all E series cards supported by Comedi can be calibrated. See the Comedi website for a list of supported cards.

Hello Becky,

thank you for your answer. Yes, I'm using Comedi, but the
PCI-6033E calibration is not supported. I understand that
National Instruments does not support Comedi, but what
I would like to know is why the documented registers are
storing wrong values.

especially the final comment from the Comedi developer, at
the bottom of the page. So, my question basically is: was my
board incorrectly calibrated at the factory or is there a mistake
in the provided documentation?

If you are worried about your board being incorrectly calibrated, a free solution is to use DAQmx and Measurement and Automation Explorer on a Windows machine to recalibrate your equipment. You can also return the board to National Instruments for re-calibration.
