Amux 64T burning out when connected to MIO 16XE-50

The regulator chip (p/n 8600067) on the Amux 64T card is getting very hot during operation. The Amux card outputs seems not to respond after being connected to MIO 16XE-50 pci card. The driver version being used for MIO is 7.44.  We have tried some troubleshooting including simulating 4-20ma signal into the inputs of the card but could not get any of the outputs to respond. Any help is appreciated.

Hi bren,

I was wondering if you could supply some more information about your application. I have listed some of the questions I have below:

What operation are you performing when the device is damaged? Does it get hot when you plug everything in and turn everything on, or only when you run some specific application? If it is only during a specific application, could you describe what the software is doing?

What are you wiring to? Is the sensor a bridge configuration? Where do you attach ground/power?

Have you tried running detached from the sensor or with another identical sensor?

Have you swapped out the MIO 16XE-50 pci card?

What changed? Did you change computers? Changed something on the computer (switch drivers, update OS, modify properties in your application code)?

- Regards,

Beutlich
