Analog inputs from SCC68

Hi,

I want to acquire two extra analog inputs from my DAQ setup (I can obtain 16 AIs at the moment). I'm using a PCI 6229 DAQ Device (I believe it can support 32AIs), a BNC-2090A Terminal and a SCC-68 Module. I'm already using up all the analog input channels on the BNC-2090A. So I'm wondering whether I could obtain atleast two more analog inputs from my SCC Module.

I have no prior experience in connecting various components, so was wondering whether it would be a good idea to set up the SCC module myself (by reading the user manual).

Cheers.

Hi,

You will be albe to configure yourself the SCC-68 connector bloc on the Connector 1 of the PCI-6229.
All the explanation are described on the User Manuel of the SCC-68.

Best regards,
Nick-CH

Thank you for the reply Nick.

I've realised that my PCI 6229 have been setup so that Connecter 1 is enabled, as I am able to obtain AO2 and AO3 from the device. So, I think everything is configured if I'm able to obtain these anlog outputs.

I'm wondering now whether I will be able to obtain analog input readings if I just wired my cables straight to the AI Screw Terminals on the SCC-68 connector block, without any further configurations?

Cheers.

Hi,

If you just use the Analog Input without SCC Module for signal conditionning, you do not need further configuration.
Otherwise, you need to configure the right SCC Module pluged in the SCC-68 like explained in the User Manual.
