Can NI 9485 use for stepper motor control ?

NI 9485 is a digital output module for SSR control.

Does anybody know how it can be applied to develop a stepper motor control for linear position allocation ?

Please advise.

Thanks !

Hello,

Looking at the specs you can definitely use this device to do motor control. This device is an SSR so you are also definitely going to need other hardware such as an actual power source. You will also need to decide the best way to utilize the device to manage power going to the motors.

Yes, sure. I will get a power source for the motor.

For this project, I need 9485, motor controller, motor, power source and screw barret.

Do you have experience in designing a similar system ?

Or where I can find an example code to study ? Please advise.

Hello,

Unfortunately, I do not have any experience designing this type of system. Perhaps other user on this forum who have will be able to provide further feedback. A great place to look for examples and similar projects others have done is the NI Developer Community.
